Crossroads Properties Tenant Newsletter
April 2010

Spring has arrived and with it comes many opportunities.  Here at Crossroads Properties we have the good fortune to welcome many new tenants (with more to come in May), expand our efforts to participate in "GREEN" activities, and continue to help others in the community.  We hope you take a moment to read about the new tenants and other events taking place this month.

Please forward this link to your employees.  If you received this link by forward and would like to be added to the mailing list, please let Dawn know by email dwessels@crossroadsproperties.net.

Welcome to the following new tenants:

City Cottages Inc., is  now operating in the 7200 Building at Crossroads of Oakdale in suite 107F.

We now have a limousine service operating out of suite 420 in the Crossroads Building at 7500 Hudson Blvd.

Crossroads Goes Green...

We are looking into partnering with Merrick Inc., a non-profit agency that supports adults with developemental disabilities in their efforts to find vocational opportunities. Merrick Inc. offers the service of collecting plastic bags and film for the purposes of recycling.  The material is collected and put in barrels to eventually be recycled into other products such as maintenance free decking products.  We feel participating in this program would be beneficial for several reasons, but most importantly it will reduce unnecessary waste in the trash dumpsters and provide job opportunities for others.  We are considering placing collection bins at a variety of locations, but would like to get an idea of which tenants would particpate. Below is a list of plastic items they will accept:

  • grocery, newspaper, dry cleaning bags
  • food type bags with residue removed (produce bags, bread bags, cereal bags, frozen food bags)
  • wrap from paper product packings (toilet tissue, paper towels)
  • retail bags (string ties and rigid handles need to be removed)
  • clean sandwich/storage type bags (zipper mechanism removed)
  • stretch wrap from pallets
  • shrink wrap from all case goods

Please send an email to Dwessels@crossroadsproperties.net indicating your possible participation level.  Please note that we also encourage you to bring in these items from home to be included in this collection program.

For more information about Merrick Inc. and this particular program, visit their website at www.merrickinc.org.
